All's Fair in Nothing At All

Back to the glorious prison of school.... Which kinda stinks because I'm sure that we are only given so much homework out of spite.
I have written today to convey some unbelievable news... I FINISHED THE FELLOWSHIP. i know right (abandoned punctuation, it's too hard), and the ending was as remembered, the intensity taking hold of me very much so.
and i'm still on the shadow rising, but now i've got an audio book so i get to listen to weird american pronunciation destroying all my favourite people. how can i have pronounced EVERYTHING wrong?????!!
FUN FACT: prestidigitateur is magician in french. try saying it out loud. like 50 sylabbles. HOW DO YOU SPELL THAT WORD???!!!
now i shall share a couple of wot excerpts.

“Sure, Rand.” Mat shifted in his saddle, half lifted his reins as if to ride on. Maybe silence had not been so bad. “You have to watch the eyes.”
just another reason to love mat. he makes everything worthwhile. i'll only keep going to school so that i can get a job and not be homeless. because if i was homeless i would have no money for books. and if i did have money i'd probably spend it on fingerless gloves or crack or some plastic bags to hold all my wordly possessions. that's really depressing, actually. poor homeless people.

Alianor F and the Sea of Mathsters

Well Well Well.
(They needed caps because of the seriousness of this occasion). It's literally been AGES. Like, I think the Wheel of Time turned a couple of times in my absence. Can someone please tell me why everyone keeps calling that young fellow Lews the Dragon?
Since I've been gone I've read at least 50 books, right now I'm onto:
-> The Fellowship of the Ring (WELL IT'S VERY LONG)
-> The Shadow Rising by Rob J
-> the Percy Jackson series
Rereading that because I've just bought a Heroes of Olympus box set and have forgotten the original story. Up to book 5 but reading a book a day from that so I should be finished soon. Brings back many old memories.
Someone lent me Chinese Cinderella. I've never read this before. But I expect a handsome prince and some singing ... butterflies? I don't know. I don't think I ever saw Cinderella as a child. Or Snow White. And I only just had the pleasure of watching Hercules, but let me tell you it was awesome. Probably up there with Tangled and The Lion King as my favourite Disney films.
Disney animated that is.
Because Jack Sparrow beats, like, everything. With his awesome face.
FUN FACT: Kiera Knightley was 17 when she was in the Curse of the Black Pearl. So young! I expect to look at least that good in one year... but I doubt it.
FUN FACT: All the swimming pools in the Titanic...ARE STILL FULL.

Well good morrow fair folks of yonder grove...
i'm not sure why i wanted to be tolkien then, but so be it.
just found a great review of the wot - AND NO SPOILERS!! shock horror!! which would have been useful when i was reading it for the first time, and, all fangirling about it. and i used to search up the characters on wikis and all that and got like THE BIGGEST spoilers all the time.
and when nicholas told me that **** **** ... it was terrible. i actually started crying, and my diary entry for that day used up like 10 pages JUST ranting about it. it was fritarted

The Fellowship of the Ring

so it's been a year since i've read it and in that time i've:
watched the fellowship of the ring.
FOR THE FIRST TIME.
i know, i know. i'm over 5 and didn't see a peter jackson movie for the first decade and a half of my life, weird. but whatever. there are people out there who don't know who the bee gees were. or michael jackson.
*shudder*
or queen.
ok that's just screwed up.
anyway gandalf's frolicking about doing goodness knows what for like fifty years while the ring just hangs about with frodo. like, seriously, how long does it take to track down a delirous grey rodent who can't even speak right when you're a wizard?!! a wizard! isn't there a spell for that? or use the eagles!
but NO apparently the fate of middle earth wasn't important enough for ian mckellen so he's going to walk.
man i forgot how much that part annoys me. i hope it gets better.

Why Hello There.

HIIIIII!!!
it's my book blog. i'm an avid reader of everything from Robert Jordan to Agatha Christie and would adore any recommendations. of course i'm a sucker for romance, but i prefer fantasy/adventure and crime.
right now i'm rereading:
The Fellowship of the Ring by (well i won't insult your intelligence and finish that sentence) and
The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan.
and can i just say to those who haven't read the wheel of time... the light burn you for a fool. now pick it up!! please!! like seriously if you won't i will die of depression.
i live in aus also and greatly pity anyone who has to live anywhere else... except for britain cos seriously those people rule. at everything. except maybe criket.
